Biography
Schuler, Johann Gottfried, painter, draftsman, documented since 1858 through a cityscape of Speyer with cathedral. Pencil drawings and oil paintings with views of Nuremberg from around 1875/93 are known to exist. He also painted motifs from Tyrol and the Alpine foothills. In 1878/81 he lived in Nuremberg, Schlehengasse 7, in 1888/89 in Tucherstraße 5, and in 1897 in Rothenburger Straße 51a. MuS: NUREMBERG: Grieb Collection. Exhibition: 1912/1.
