Biography
Alois Eckardt (born 1845 in Lichte, Thuringia; died 1906 in Munich) was a German oil and porcelain painter. Beginning on October 20, 1875, Alois Eckardt studied in the Classical Art class at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Wilhelm von Lindenschmit the Younger. After completing his studies, he worked in Vienna, Dresden, and Munich. Alois Eckardt worked for publications such as the *Gartenlaube*; he also exhibited his works at the Glaspalast in Munich. As a porcelain painter, he created miniatures based on the works of other painters. (Source: Wikipedia)
