Biography
Günter Edlinger, born in Salzburg in 1958, has been working as a freelance painter since 1993. His trademark is his passionately expressive way of working with unusual materials, paired with aesthetic sophistication, action painting, sculpture, singing and design. Edlinger prefers to work serially, with a constantly changing technical focus - such as in the cycles “Two Right Shoes” and the “Drop Pop Art” generated from thousands of color dots or the photo-based collage series “Club 27”. The artist's works have been and continue to be presented in Salzburg institutions as well as in international exhibitions and collections.
